My favorite holiday between Halloween and Thanksgiving is almost here- AKA the Sephora VIB Sale. Or maybe it's the Sephora Holiday Savings Event from what I'm seeing on their site now? Either way, when October rolls around, I start getting my cart ready and making a game plan. The past few years my focus has definitely been more geared toward restocking favorite skincare products, but I also find it's a good opportunity to try new things that I might not buy full price. During the Spring VIB sales this year, I picked up a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer and I haven't had one regret. I hate the feeling of wet hair more than anything, so I wanted to invest in a dryer that I could use daily with minimal damage. I decided to give the Dyson dryer a chance and I think it's worth every penny. It dries my hair quickly, which is always a huge plus. Better yet, it leaves my hair soft and manageable. I use it every single time I wash my hair (since I got it this past Spring), and it hasn't left my hair damaged in any way that I have noticed. This is desert island worthy for me, assuming the island has electricity and an outlet.

Skincare Faves
One of my absolute, cannot-live-without, products is the Sunday Riley UFO Oil. It works miraculously well for me. If I catch a pimple early enough, I can apply this at night and it will never even surface and be gone the next morning. Even if I'm too late to catch it before surfacing, it takes down the acne in question within a few days and really helps reduce the redness and inflammation. I usually buy the smaller size, since I apply it directly to the affected area instead of all over my face. Fortunately, I don't get a ton of acne, so it tends to last me six months to a year using it this way.

A new addition to my skincare lineup is the Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with Vitamin C. I was in the market for a new eye cream actually, when a Sephora employee suggested it. Apparently the ingredients are similar to the eye cream that the brand sells, but you get a much better price per ounce with the face mask. I use it both for my eyes and the rest of my face and really love it. It feels hydrating without leaving my skin feeling heavy or clogged. I use it on my eyes both morning and night, but only at night for the rest of my face since I prefer a lighter moisturizer throughout the day.

I have found a new favorite lip balm and I am fucking OBSESSED. I forgot my lip balm one day when I was out and about so I stopped be Sephora to pick something up. On a whim, I grabbed the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupaçu Lip Butter and haven't looked back since. This is hands down my favorite lip balm of all time now. The scent is incredible, like a soft, buttery cookie. More importantly, the formula is perfect for my lips. It leaves them soft and hydrated for hours on end.

The REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner is my favorite daily exfoliator at the moment. I may not use it every single day, but it's gentle enough on my skin that I can and it won't strip it. It brings the glow as promised and really helps with radiance.

I am a big fan of the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment. It is certainly pricey, but I find that the large bottle is on track to last me about a year with using it one to two times weekly, so I am fine with an annual purchase. It leaves my skin looking refreshed and even-toned. Those with sensitive skin may want to proceed with caution, but I don't find it irritating.

Makeup Faves
There are so many celebrity skincare and makeup brands out there now, it just feels like a money grab rather than people putting out great products. I was hesitant to try Rare beauty because of that, but the blushes intrigued me too much. I picked up the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the shade Bliss and it is so pretty. It's pretty pigmented so a few dots are all I need to add a nice flush. I don't find that it moves the products underneath it, so it's a win in my book.

Seeing as masks are still a part of my daily life, wearing lip products really doesn't make sense for me right now. I just love lip products too much to stop buying them though, and this one actually wears well under a mask without making a mess. The Ilia Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm is a beautiful, low maintenance lip product. I picked it up in the shade Faded, which is a lovely brown shade.

The packaging of Gucci beauty products is what first drew me to the brand, I'll admit it. Turns out the product is just as good. I love the Gucci Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Bronzing Powder for a luxe splurge item. The pigmentation is great, so the good news is that the product lasts a long time for the price. The compact is also refillable; I don't see refills available on Sephora yet, but fingers crossed that's coming in the future.

I am a sucker for both a single all-over-the-lid eyeshadow look, and a rusty orange color. Check and check, thanks to the Kosas 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow. No lies detected in regard to the name- it really does blend out quickly and effortlessly.

The Armani Beauty Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow is another liquid eyeshadow fave. This one is cool because it looks good on its own, or layered over a matte shadow. I love that it is shimmery rather than glittery. It just adds the most beautiful sheen. I'm also glad that I chose the shade Cold Copper; it's cooler toned than most of my other eyeshadows which makes it a perfect standalone to add in when that's the mood I'm going for.

My ride or die base product is the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, but every now and then I liked to switch it up and try something new. The latest newbie in my collection is the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. I really like it! I think the texture and finish are pretty similar to the NARS one. NARS is honestly the slightly better price point, but the Dior one feels luxe and I really like the packaging. It's travel friendly since it's a soft plastic material, with a twist on cap.

Lifestyle Faves
I'd be remiss not to mention one of my favorite lifestyle purchases from a past VIB Sale- the Vitruvi Stone Diffuser. I initially bought one for the living room and loved it so much I got a second one for our bedroom. It is the perfect blend of functionality and style. I find that Capri Blue diffuser oils do especially well in it, and they have some fantastic seasonal scents.

The Slip Silk Sleepmask is another splurge that I found totally worth it. The mask is super comfortable, and the silk material feels lovely on the skin. The elastic is also perfect. It stays snugly on the head without stretching out.
