It's time for my favorite sale of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! After discovering that the Purity by philosophy cleanser was NOT included in the sale this year, I wasn't sure I could go on, but I've mustered up the strength to see what else is available this year and have found some new things I wanna try, as well as some tried and true gems to recommend.
Beauty Products
Want to Try:
There are a few beauty products that have really caught my eye this year. The Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and Sunday Riley Good Genes are two chemical exfoliants that have been on my wishlist for quite a long time. I will probably opt for the Paula's Choice for the price, but Good Genes is certainly tempting. I hadn't seen anything about the Deborah Lippmann Rich Girl hand cream before, but I like that it has SPF and seems to get great reviews. I've heard wonderful things about Nécessaire products in general, so the body wash and lotion duo being offered is intriguing. I am a huge rose scent fan, and am strongly considering picking up this Diptyque Eau Rose Eau de Toilette & Hair Mist Duo. Also in the realm of hair, people have nothing but good things to say about Briogeo, and this All-Star Hair Heroes Set seems like a great deal.
Tried & True:
Kiehl's is a brand really hasn't let me down so far, and one of their standout products for me is the Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I haven't had it in my skincare lineup for quite a while so I definitely want to pick up this jumbo size. I really like the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine formula, and this set is a great deal if you are into the shades included. The Ouai Leave in Conditioner is a staple in my hair routine, and while I haven't tried the hair oil, I love Ouai's Rose Hair & Body Oil.

I love the cut of these Frame jeans, and the color. They would be the perfect, casual pair of denim. This Patagonia jacket caught my eye. I love the color, although I'm always hesitant to buy jackets without hoods in the Northwest. I'm loving the dad vibes that this Chelsea28 sweater gives, I feel like it would pair so well with the frame denim and some Birks. Biker shorts have been a lifesaver for someone like me who doesn't wear pants but wants to run in an out of my house all the time and needs to be decent for my neighbors. These Nike ones look like they'd do the job at a decent price. I love the color of this Sweaty Betty Sports Bra, and it looks high enough that boob spillage wouldn't be an issue. In classic old woman fashion, my eyes were drawn toward this Nordstrom sleep shirt. I don't necessarily need more slippers, but since our house has no carpet, they are something I use 24/7 and these Ugg Fluffette ones look so cozy. I'm really into the shape and color of these Quay Australia sunglasses. I feel like they would be the perfect non-prescription pair to leave in my car so that I don't have to worry about carrying shades with me at all times. I love the look of these Blondo boots, and the fact that they are waterproof is definitely an added bonus.
Tried & True:
My favorite bra as of late has been the Natori Bliss Perfection Contour Soft Cup. It is supportive, yet I hardly notice it throughout the day. I also solely purchase Zella leggings; I find that the quality for the price is great, and there are always amazing deals on them during this sale. The Natori Rose Dream Custom Coverage Underwire Bra is my go to "real" bra. The cups cover everything nicely without being too matronly, and it's comfortable as well.

The Slip pillowcases seem like kind of a ridiculous splurge, but I feel like the benefits for my hair and skin might be worth it? I have one of their eye masks which I think was absolutely worth the price tag, so I just might be swayed by these as well. I've found myself weirdly obsessed with this Golden Rabbit Baking Pan. I just picture making the gooiest lasagna in it, and frankly it's become a bit pornographic. A Barefoot Dreams blanket is another item that has me wondering if it's worth the splurge, but it's something I've been wanting for yeaarrrssss so... we will see. I'm kind of obsessed with these Mixology glasses. I feel like I'd love to pour a glass of whiskey and take up smoking cigarettes with these. If I had $90 to blow on something stupid I would absolutely get the Le Labo Santal Concrete Votives. Santal is my favorite Le Labo scent, and I love the industrial look of these. The facts are, the regular 8ish ounce glass vessel version is a better deal though. These Godinger Blush wine glasses are fun. I love the shape, I just have to ask myself if I will always love the blush tint or if I just love it right now.
Tried & True:
The Capri Blue Volcano candle has earned a permanent spot in my home. I love the bight citrus scent, and think it has a pretty great throw. I love the seaglass color of this particular version of the candle as well. Diptyque candles are also lovely, and this little set is a great introduction to them if you haven't tried them before. Figuier is my favorite, with Baies as a close second. Hydro Flask water bottles are one of the most invaluable items that I own. They keep shit hot, they keep shit cold, and I love this fun purple color.
The sale is open to everyone starting August 19th. Cardholders get early access depending on their Nordy club level; Icons can shop now, Ambassadors on the 7th, Influencers on the 10th, and Insiders on the 13th.
